Hello my friends
I need you to sign this campaign in the web. It´s against a reform by Madrid local´s government (and the national government too) which is going to harm one of my most beloved institutions and the loving place where I was lucky to learn English, French, German, some Russian, Polish, Portuguese and Greek.
So far it has been a prestigious, public and free insitution which has led thousand and thousands of people to learn languages for free. And it has done so for almost a century (it´s 98th anniversary is this year) but recen stupid educations plans aiming to develop the necessary rationalization the teaching of languages in Europe (the logical and necessary European Framework) had lead to a (unintended?) harm to this institution which may make the prestige of this school titles sink.
There are already going on demonstrations and protests against it. All politics claim (from any party, right ot left) it was unintended and just a coincidence, but the stupid currently valid spanish legislation is against this wonderful school titles. All politicians claim it was a mistake and they are going to mend it. But have they?
Some say it is an evil and ill-willing counscious decision to harm this wonderful school (the Escuela Oficial de Idiomas) to lead to a privatization of the school systems (only those able to pay may get the education, others not). Other people dont believe so and think it really was a mistake. In any case the harm is done and it still hasn´t been repaired, despite the consensus. For them not to think we have forgotten, that´s what I´´m asking your for your signature. Please, take into account this blogsite wouldn´t have ever existed had it been for this language school. Thank you so much.
